Today was a historic day for BYU-Idaho. After 3 years of construction we finally have a new center that can seat 15,000 people. It is huge!! It looks very similar to the conference center in Salt Lake. Now all the students on campus can attend devotional at the same place. For the dedication President Erying, Elder Nelson, and Elder Bednar came. The university choir and orchestra performed "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" my favorite song. It gave me chills. They did the same rendition the Tabernacle choir does and they sounded just like them! The spirit was so strong. One of my favorite things Elder Bednar said was that we feel awe at this building that is a result of the restoration of the gospel. We need to build the school so we can fill the world with people who know the meaning and purpose of life and share it with people who do not know. The BYU-I center also has a huge new gymnasium that will be a lot of fun. I'm grateful for my experiences at BYU-Idaho although there have been some political aspects that have been difficult to deal with. This school has taught me to be a better student, the importance of the gospel, and how to be a good friend. Now on to BYU-Hawaii adventures!!
