My priorities are way off...

Hey!!  It's a whole new semester and there are great things to come!

Before I left to go to school I got to hang out with Melanie and Carmelite at David's farewell.  They are such great friends.  These are my two new roommates Hanah and Kelsey.  We wore the same shirt our first day of school.  I love my room roommate Ali.  She has already taught me so much.  It was pretty funny when the bishop called me though because I thought he was going to say Relief Society Pianist but he said President.  My reaction was, "Are you serious?"  I was not expecting it at all since it is a completely new ward.  He thought that was pretty funny.  He also mentioned that my name just kept coming to him and he thought I needed this.  He was right.  This will be so great for me and help me get involved in the ward.  It's good because when I was the 2nd counselor last semester we had the same apartments but there are different girls now.  When I texted my family their reactions were great:

Mom's:  Start praying.

Emily:  Charity never faileth.

Kris:  Way to go pres!  (please only call me president coats from now on).  haha

Andy called me and said make your counselors an active part of decision making.  God knows I don't know all the answers he just knows I am willing to serve.  

I have had so many great Relief Society Presidents in my life.  They have inspired me to be better and made me feel like I could come to them for anything.  I hope to make a difference in these girls lives and bring them closer to Christ and make friends!  I get the best end of the deal.  

I thought this was really funny.  I love my planner and would not be able to remember anything without it.  I looked at today's schedule and under important it says:  "Study Golf"  haha my teacher is super intense and we have a test Monday.  Who would have thought one of my priorities would be studying golf?  With this change of calling I want to change my priorities a little more.  I want to be more loving, more friendly, and more compassionate.  People come first.  And then with the left over time I will golf and DANCE!  I made the Collegiate Contemporary dance team.  38 girls auditioned.  14 girls made it.  I feel so blessed life is good.  I could not do it without the gospel and the angels in my life.
