Corn pickin SUMMA!

Hey there bloggy!  It has been 7 weeks since I've been home in Rupert Idaho.  Today I am going back to Rexburg for Fall semester.  I got a job working for D&D Melons this summer with Carmelite, Julio, Chris, and Nate.  It was such hard work but also so fun!  We picked huge boxes of corn, cantelope, watermelons, tomatoes, strawberries, peppers, zucchini, squash, and cucumbers.  Carmelite and I probably spent the most time together.  We had some good laughs when we would take turns driving the tractor (and always jerking it and then checking if the boss saw).  We would get so hot and sweaty and I would look over at Carm and she would say, "Man!  Sometimes I feel like a slave doing this job!"  haha she's so funny.  Another time we started dancing in the middle of a field and I tripped over a sprinkler.  Carmelite and I rolled on the ground laughing because my feet came out under me so fast and  the wind got knocked out of me.  Right after that I told her to look out because I had to twist one of the sprinklers so it would turn on and I didn't want it to hit her right in the face.  Little did I know, the sprinkler was faced towards me and pelted me in the face.  We are blonde.  Carmelite, Kensey and I have been planning to make a music video dancing in the corn field we had to pick from.  We learned the dance on YouTube for national dance day advertised on So You Think You Can Dance.  (I was so glad Lauren won this season by the way.)  If you are bored and want to learn it heres the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKUyp1GMQVg
It is so much fun and keeps you moving.  I will post our dance to it as soon as we record it.
Life is good.  There have been so many tender mercies of the Lord I have been able to witness this summer.  I am so grateful for the good people in the world and for Heavenly Father looking out for each of us.
Here are my goals for Fall semester:
Always be positive
Get straight A's
Be able to play a good group of songs on the guitar
Make time for scripture reading and prayer every day
